{{Question |QuestionFaqPage=Log - August 2025/Pre Event FAQ |Link=https://kelesis.dreamwidth.org/5063.html?thread=7527367#cmt7527367 |Topics= |AskedBy=countershocks |DateAsked=2025-08-06 |QuestionText=I'm so sorry for this follow-up, but as Law's absolutely ridiculous devil fruit power allows him to decapitate a person without killing them, would there be any chance of then removing the infection from the bloodstream of the infected person? Totally understandable if not, but he would try! Same with the Augmented - as he would be able to remove the leg and then reattach it later on without any pain, would he be able to remove the infection from the blood of that removed leg?

As for the autopsy and plantopsy, excellent, sounds horrifying, I love it. |DateAnswered=2025-08-06 |AnswerText=Law, why must you be so strongk...

In the case of an infected plant-zombie-individual, boy would Law have to act fast. Removing the limb if it happened right in front of him would mean he could keep the limb off, then reattach it... later (see below about this odd caveat). But when it comes to a more infected individual, where the zombification has already spread to the victim's brain, their head would have to be detached—and unfortunately there's no way to clear the infection on the spot. HOWEVER...

Interestingly, now that we've thought about it a bit further, there is one loophole to this rule for Karterian citizens. If Law were able to stabilize a citizen, let their head zombify separate from their body, and wait it out... Once Monster Tree-chan was dealt with, the seeds would eventually die out—about 3 days later, if he squirreled these individuals away from all light sources. He would be able to put that individual back together, their body having not sustained any of the effects of the overall zombification. Again, however: at what cost? That citizen will end up recalling the experience. And that is very, deeply unsettling, to live for days beheaded.

The same rule would apply for an Augmented One. Cut off that leg, put it on ice, wait for the tree creature to be killed and then some, and the infection in that limb will naturally 'cure' itself with time. To keep things simple, we're overall going to say that the "infection/seeding" itself can't be cured by any character while the tree is alive and fighting, but post-mortem there is these small, if horrible, workarounds.

I hope this makes sense! We are trying our best to keep track of these odd fringe-cases where a character's powers would be capable of amazing things, and we want to let players exercise those powers in a way that is fulfilling but not dominating the setting. }}
