	|QuestionText=It really is peak Great Gatsby hours over here, huh...<br><br>Very interesting, though. I'm gonna have Dorothea get involved in this, methinks. She's an entertainer, she's pretty, she can make it work! <s>she can stuff all her Terra bits down uncomfortably into some clothes and look normal-ish, ok</s> It'll take a hot minute but I will consider how Dorothea can work into this and will potentially get back to you with some questions! But if she were to start poking around in the next month or so, talk to some people in the impoverished and unhoused areas, would she be able to get some general leads on some of these entertainers, specifically one or two who would be able to talk to her?<br><br>She'd probably angle it like...she's not here to poach on territory and doesn't want to take their clients, but surely there are people who are interested in Slightly Not Normal things and who might be interested in an Augmented entertainer, if only for some clout? Especially after she's singing her heart out, modeling, talking about opera, etc. this month.<br><br>WAIT LET ME EDIT THIS: <br>If that's not feasible, as in said entertainers would not be willing to give up their marks or work, would they potentially be interested in <s>a union</s> working with Dorothea to feed info to her if she helps them with food, shelter, clothing, etc? She could help them build up something a little safer and while it wouldn't be a ~business~ in name (because the upper class can't afford for it to get out) but she could help protect them, help provide for them, things like that? Especially if the greenhouse thing takes off and a little money comes in from elsewhere, etc. Sorry, I know this is a lot but I was literally just talking about something like this (helping the proprietor of a brothel which wouldn't be existing in Kart bc of the setting) on plurk and it came to me that I could do that instead if the first option didn't work out.<div class="edittime"><em>Edited <span class="datetime"><span class="comment-date-text"> </span> <span title="2025-11-06 03:21 pm (reprisings's time)">2025-11-07 09:21 am (local)</span></span></em></div>

    |AnswerText=Hopefully Dorothea lets her poor plants out to breathe sometimes....<br><br>But given Dorothea's own familiarity with this part of society, and the favorability that the Augmented hold with the impoverished (and that she hasn't done anything personally to turn them against her), she might be able to find one or two entertainers who would at least hear her out. <br><br>They would still be cautious- not necessarily mistrusting her intent, but are afraid of sharing <i>anything</i> about their clients, and their clients' associates. Discretion is critical to their continuing to get work, to their safety. But it's possible that they could be willing to keep an ear out for any upper class people who are after something different, something foreign and <i>weird</i>. People who are after novelty and want to be seen as daring. These upper class folks exist, and it's not impossible for Dorothea to find out about them.<br><br>The entertainers might also worry about her getting <i>too</i> popular, and for more than her strangeness... that she might, even unintentionally, get the attention of their usual clients. It's a situation that could go either way, depending on how much of a set-back you'd prefer Dorothea to face! <br><br>And that could also go with the other option, of her only providing help in return for info. With this, too, they would have to trust Dorothea a fair bit in order to give her any information on the people who hire them. While they're not in a position to reject her help, they're <i>also</i> afraid of accepting it- that the price of giving info to her could well be too steep and lead to their losing their clients entirely. And without their clients, they'd have no more information, and would lose everything....<br><br>They would be <i>very</i> wary about this. Again, it's not impossible, especially since Dorothea is someone who can better relate to their fears- but it would take some time for her to become someone they could trust with, well, their lives. You're free to take whichever avenue is most fun for you to explore, or if you'd like a random sort of outcome, we can roll a dice for you to see how successful she is at garnering the trust or affection of fellow entertainers/clientele.
