A few questions about libraries and books!

Are the libraries available for anyone to use to check out books via their syntrofos or are there some bureaucratic hoops to jump through first? What sort of a range do they have? Do they separate fiction and non-fiction and use the Dewey decimal system and surname for organisation?

Would it be plausible for there to be syntrofos help classes or drop-in counters (the sort usually aimed at seniors) held there?

And what sort of price point are books? Are eBooks (sBooks?) a thing? Or audiobooks?

AnswerText:
The Augmented would be free to use the libraries without any hassle! The ID provided by their Syntrofos will serve as their library card (as it does for other Karterians).

Books would be separated by genre and organized by author, as you might expect. Though they don't have the Dewey decimal system exactly, they have their own equivalent that shouldn't be too hard to navigate. The librarians will also be eager to help- as the Augmented showing any interest at all in literature or learning is considered a great positive.

Ebooks and audiobooks both exist, and can be checked out using the Syntrofos as well. (And also used as a playback device... though specially-made readers and audio devices exist, they can only be borrowed within the library itself, or purchased elsewhere. But the Syntrofos can use all the same files.)

Syntrofos help classes would be unlikely to exist, as the technology has been standard for long enough (and is simple enough, by their standards!) that everyone is assumed to have an understanding of the basics. However, the librarians would be very willing to help individuals with any questions they have about its functions. They might also suggest that the Augmented themselves put together a little group to explain it to each other- as they feel other outsiders would understand better the sort of things that would be obvious to the locals.

The price point for books is roughly 100N to 300N, though of course particularly rare or fancy editions will go for more (and common secondhand books for less).
