Could I, say, link my toplevel from a log that has gone overflow as done and dusted but then later on link the overflow threads from it that get put on a different post as separate things as they exist on another post entirely? I'm trying to figure out what would be easiest for reading because I feel like separating them would be easiest but wasn't sure if that would be breaking the rule (I am sorry for the dumb question)

Say we have Character A with a single top-level and two threads with Characters B and C. On the main post, Character A has had 4 comments with B, and 3 comments with C. This would total to 8 comments on the main page, top-level included.<br><br>We've been going ahead and checking the overflows thereafter. So if Character A has had 10 comments in their thread with B, and 3 more with C, we've considered this all one single attempt at banking. Thus, this top-level and all of its comments total would be considered 21 comments, and <i>typically</i> we count them all at once.<br><br>However, we're totally willing to work with outlier situations! If you want to just do the comments on the original log and count overflow threads at a later point (say, for example, the thread's not done), we recommend leaving a note like this: <blockquote><b>Thread:</b> [ here] 8 (EXCLUDING OVERFLOW, will link later)</blockquote><br>That way, we can look back in time and see that we were approaching it from this angle.
