| QuestionText | Wikitext | hi sooo if someone were to go bug-hunting in the swamp, would they find just regular ol' swamp-bugs like we have in the real world, or are the bugs Different?? I've been going with the assumption all the bugs are basically the same but figured i should ask since Helaena...loves bugs....and catching them.... |

| AnswerText | Wikitext | It would probably be a mix! Familiar bug, unusual bug... not even necessarily unnaturally mutated bug, but just the result of evolution taking some of the bugs in different directions. Of course, there are the occasional ones that seem to have been mutated by arcane radiation, given that their developments are more... haphazard. Dragonflies with extra sets of wings, mosquitos with far too many mouthparts, water striders grown too heavy to stride. Most of the nonfunctional ones are just eaten by something else in the wetlands, but some of the developments might be advantageous, or at least not too much of a hindrance. A toxicity that makes them repulsive to the ambient amphibians and birds, or appendages that mimic the local snakes... nature is beautiful. |
