hello mods! not sure if i should ask here or in a pm but — could you elaborate a little more on the glire-type/ruminant's power of shapeshifting? i just want to make sure i understand it properly. is it just a matter of being able to change one's size, without requiring being in full shift, and not actually being able to suddenly turn into an entirely different form?

This is a perfect place for this question in case anyone else has the same thoughts, so not to worry.

Glires and Ruminantia can change form completely. A Ruminantia could shapeshift into a hippo, a mouse, or even another human, provided that they know what these things are/how they're structured. (Re: "how they're structured"... you can make shapeshifts as easy or as difficult for your character as you prefer. maybe a character needs a visual reference of their destination shape to nail it, or needs to study up on How Do Rabbit Stomachs Work to ensure that they don't mess up. shapeshifting fails can make for great body horror. You can also make it simple: if they know what a rabbit is, they can nail it.) A character who doesn't know what a Chocobo is couldn't shapeshift into one, for example. This is a completely physical shapeshift of their entire body, which means that if they shapeshift into a mouse, they'll feel like a mouse to anyone who pets them: fuzzy, small, warm. However, the Ruminantia-type will maintain their own weight. Their shapeshifts are limited to the size of a car; no godzilla shapeshifts.

I hope this helps!
