Follow-up question specific to Jayce and his Golem stuff: I'm working through how I want to complete his permanent corruption trait stuff and I often have him relying on his 'half-shift' (where he's fully encased in crystal but still Jayce-shaped) to lessen the emotional effects of being around the Katalyth. Could I potentially use the half-shift to temporarily muffle the earworm too, or do you prefer that his half-shift has no effect on this?

Jayce's method of half-shifting to avoid the worst of the emotional damage would continue to work! (How could an earworm burrow through rock, anyway.) It's one of those nice Golem traits, to not have to feel much of anything. And as Katalyth is communicating through emotion... Jayce would effectively continue being partially deaf to it.
