Analogous to real world yes, generally speaking, but there's a theme of What Games Are Prominently Available. Yes, Candyland, Jenga, or Uno (knockoffs) are probably out there, but that's not really seen as a staple or mainstay game... Novelties, certainly.

Common mechanics that are favored in Karteria include chess variants, cross-and-circle, deduction, displacement, labyrinth, memory, puzzle, trivia, and word games. Hidden role/murder mystery style, negotiation, diplomacy, and bluffing games are enjoyed as party games, especially at ritzy gatherings; they are often done very socially. Thematically, abstract strategy is most common to be found in spots like cafes or diners.

In all, any sort of game could be found in Karteria, but they have favorites. Typically, games do not feature overt wartime themes... but games like chess, having some war themes? Yes! Not that there's been much in the way of war on the Isles of Pathos. Perhaps it's the fantasy of it all that lends itself toward developing such themes...
