Question! So Pom and Gale were recently talking about a character who helped Pom rent his apartment, and Pom found out the two knew each other, so he was going to seek this character out and tell them about it, chat, etc. Said character dropped today, and I was wondering if they might run into his body having undergone the "character dropped so they lost control and are in full monster mode" state, since the FAQ says other characters can see that kind of stuff happen.

Could they fight? Would the Patho-gen staff intervene? How does this work, that kind of thing!

If not, could Pom, like, track where the body went? He knows this guy's scent and could reasonably track him the way he's tracked others via his heightened sense of smell, but if Patho-Gen would cover their tracks with that, that's cool, too. Just something I thought could be interesting - let me know. Thanks mods! :>

Pom and Gale could certainly catch all of this happening! It's also entirely possible for them to catch the dropped character before Patho-Gen arrives (Though they are uncommonly quick to turn up, in situations like this; it's not a great look for anyone, when an Augmented abruptly turns feral in public. Fortunately, they've been able to snag past drops quietly enough.). So Pom could have his scuffle, before Patho-Gen turned up and knocks out the feral party, and discreetly (as possible) hauls them away.

If Pom or Gale tried to interfere with them, they would also be knocked out too, and would wake up somewhere else in the city. If they didn't interfere, they would get a very brief 'explanation': the soul's alignment with their augmenter failed, and needs to be fixed. In either case, it would be readily trackable where they went: right back to Patho-Gen HQ. The trail doesn't vanish there, but it leads into parts of the building the Augmented don't have access to. If Pom came in to ask about the missing character (or if anyone stops in to ask about any other dropped character), he'd be told that the failure was unfortunately 'irreparable'. They're gone. (Gone home, gone-dead? The staff won't be able to (or just won't) specify, but they will be clear that unless some miracle or breakthrough in their technology occurs, the character isn't coming back.)
