hi mods! an app question here regarding samples

i'm breaking out a character to app that i haven't played in a while so a lot of my samples are older than four months.

but i did post to the tdm and got multiple replies on my top level! so i just wanted to clarify: does the whole top level count as one thread or can i link two separate replies to my initial top level as two separate threads? i.e. thread with character a is one thread sample, thread with character b is another thread sample -- but both threads are them replying to different prompts from my top level

would appreciate the clarification! just so i know if i need to spin up another sample elsewhere before i app :) thank you so much!

Two separate threads as replies to your initial top-level would absolutely count as two separate samples, yes! What we want to see are two separate, continuous conversations of four comments minimum from your character—regardless of whether these threads are happening on the same top-level, or on another top-level. (Though this isn't in the rules, we vastly prefer seeing these threads taking place with two separate characters—that is, an app for Billy shouldn't have samples where he's conversing with Anne in one, and Anne again in the other.)
