Malleable protagonists are welcome. They must be as close to the default version of that character as possible visually and personality-wise, if such a representation exists.

So I'm asking in regards to V Cyberpunk 2077, male version (though this applies to female version as well), whose design (and age) have changed multiple times. There are no readily available icons of 'default' V as everyone just makes their own, and the 'default' V look from the trailers can't be replicated with the in-game's character creator (though you can get close...ish, but for example the arm cyberware and glowing blue eyes Trailer!V sports are simply not available in the vanilla game).

For such situations are we allowed to use a PB?

In situations like this, where there isn't an effective malleable protag (either because it doesn't exist at all, or there's no way to strictly achieve it in game), going with something more individual would be fine!
