Hi again, with a different One Piece this time, for more questions... sighs at this canon. Anyway, the slight issue with Law is that his devil fruit is, uh, the operation fruit, meaning that his ability allows him to basically dissect anything and everything without actually harming the person he is cutting. Here is a handy demonstration.

So basically my question is: how would this work with the Augmenter? Obviously he shouldn't and wouldn't be able to remove it from himself or anyone else, but I would hate for that to nerf his power completely. Would it be possible for the Augmenter to somehow nullify his power, so he could cut someone's arm off no problem and reattach it, but wouldn't be able to do anything near the Augmenter?

(If I end up choosing to app him, obviously his power would have to be... limited... sighing more. I will write up nerfs for him for sure if I do app!)

It would be a problem were it too easy for him to remove the Augmenter. In his case, if he tried to use his abilities to access it, he would find it to be mysteriously and temporarily unavailable- as though it were forever slipping just out of reach of all attempts at excision. Law would be able to rummage safely around necks (or other areas) otherwise, but would just not be able to hit on this very specific object.

(Oddly, were he to go in with brute force, not utilizing his technique (if this is something he can elect to not use), then he would be able to reach the Augmenter and the patient would probably die. This 'dodging' effect only occurs when approached with abilities as peculiar as Law's... as though the Augmenter had been designed to prevent harmless removal.)

His surgical powers otherwise could likely remain as they are otherwise- no need for it to be removed entirely!
