Overall the answer is that if Dan Feng has those dragon traits already, he can keep them. If he can shift into a dragon, Reptilia-type traits will manifest on his transformation as well. This goes for any character who can transform: all of their forms will have traits associated with their soul type. (And goodness, thank you!)
