#1 wiki | comment Topics: Edit question: edit flamebears asked on Log - June 2025/Pre Event FAQ at 2025-06-02 Answer date: 2025-06-02	hello mods! i've kind of been operating under the assumption that spectral-types are aware ( either formally or through Vibes ) of their impending deaths as corruption continues, and please correct me if i'm wrong! if that's true: were a spectral-type character happens to start feeling ANTSY about their Impending Death and approaches Patho-Gen about medical/scientific interventions ( outside of the posted efforts ) to stave off the Corruption — essentially volunteering for MORE — what kind of response might they get? patho-gen already put this guy back together ONCE, since he arrived Dead... sorry ny'all	It's not widely known, but The Vibes Are There... really, Patho-Gen could have done with providing a manual about what to expect with some of these types (then again, it's possible that they don't know the details themselves). Hopefully as Spectral-types start dying off, they can spread that exciting potential to other Spectral-types. But regardless, how much a character can 'sense' of their impending death as a Spectral-type is up to the player, so it's certainly possible to feel it coming. Given that this impending-demise-antsyness is due to the Natural Soul and not an actual failing of the body (though they would certainly want to try to clear that as a possibility), they wouldn't treat the task of stopping the process that seriously. Your Spectral-side knows what they're about. However, Patho-Gen would be interested in observing the process, and would welcome someone regularly coming in to get a load of tests done, really get a feel for how things are deteriorating, if it's something that can be measured. They might present this scientific curiosity as 'help staving off Corruption'... but in truth, they are more interested in seeing it play out.
