As long as the missing direction doesn't carry any sort of strong <i>dislike</i> towards another member of the group, the enhancement would come into effect. The power multiple imprints (and especially any pair bonds) have as a collective is an impressive one, providing, at the least, a general buff to most conditions.<br><br>(This collective imprinting bonus would be disrupted if there was animosity- not merely <i>indifference</i>, nor simple neutrality- between some members of the group. Even if the number of imprints outnumbered the mortal foes, the conflict would disrupt the process. The imprinting effects wouldn't disappear, but they would be limited to their baseline influence.)

As people start to collect imprints, and in particular in relation to this thread, where the four characters involved is either imprinted or pair bonded in all directions except for one, what happens to a character surrounded by imprints? As long as the missing direction doesn't carry any sort of strong dislike towards another member of the group, the enhancement would come into effect. The power multiple imprints (and especially any pair bonds) have as a collective is an impressive one, providing, at the least, a general buff to most conditions.
