Does the plant monster's anger/emotion/pain feel anything like the thing under kelesis? also, does resonance of obscurity reflect what a character believes happened or what actually happened? (northly believes she killed her parents, but she only nearly killed them, at which point they gave her to the church, so if it's her viewpoint "MURDERER" would work, but if it's what actually happened "MONSTER TOO DANGEROUS TO KEEP" would be better) Edited 2025-08-02 01:37 pm (local)

Ooh, good questions! Does the plant monster's Big Feelings feel like the thing under Kelesis? Yes, in many ways. This creature's feelings are intensified and directed, if insane and maddened. The characters who will be most apt at drawing comparisons are the very ones who could feel it through their feet sharpest of all: Terra- and Ruminantia-types. Arthropoda won't detect that it feels quite the same... but there's an echo of the feeling, there. Does the Resonance of Obscurity reflect belief, or truth? This isn't something we'd considered; we lean toward belief. The reason for this is because it's bringing to light the hidden parts of people's hearts where they have to be discussed. Whatever is causing this does not perceive the truth of a situation as much as it does bring to light the dark corners of the psyche, so a character who believes they killed their parents could have MURDERER on their face, or some other word to jog the memory. (Could be the name of their parents, too.) |
