Question as to what kinds of plants and flowers one might find in the Asphodel Fields! I know stuff with Katalyth embedded in it dies, but is anything mutated by the waters? Or are the flowers more of the average variety one might find? Anything that could be use for medicinal purposes?

Asphodel Fields would be home to the sort of flora/fauna that you might expect from a swamp or marshland landscape (though with some foreign bugs, foreign lizards and birds... but along similar lines to real-world critters and plants in a similar niche, rather than species utterly mutated or unrecognizable). There are some signs of mutations, but they're minor and uncommon.

There could certainly be any number of plants with medicinal or recreational purpose (The libraries probably have guides to some of the local flora. Even accounting for some recent mutations, they should be largely accurate.). There are some edible berries on low shrubs, like bunchberry dogwood, chokecherry, or skunk currant; they aren't very tasty, but can be rendered with other berries into pies or jams. There is a tendency for herbs here to induce vomiting, diuretics (exciting!), or styptics. When it comes to recreational herbs, some of the fungi that grow do so where there's evidence of... decomposition. These mushrooms may be either toxic, mundane (edible), or basically magic mushrooms. The thing is, in this area they're almost always growing near something that died.

You're free to have fun with what effects any of these herbs/fruits/shrooms might have, whether they're useful or harmful or just taste awful.
