Hi mods,

I feel like I read this somewhere but I've been searching up and down and can't find it so I might have hallucinated it (might have been on the original Kelesis text before that was updated?), so apologies for possibly making you repeat yourselves but:

Do the people in Kelesis have the same calling magic as those in Karteria? If not, do they have some equivalent?
There's nothing keeping native Kelesians from using Karterian magic- as it's really just the magic of the world, independent of city-state. But it's never been particularly popular in Kelesis, and that's true to this day. The Augmented won't ever see any Kelesian use it, and if asked about it, they'll say that they know about it, but they never learned how to do it themselves- and that they don't much see the point. Why does the natural world need controlled?

With enough searching through the meager and oddly-organized bookshops, it's possible to find some writings about magic, but they reveal little more. There's nothing new about how the magic works, only simple overviews of what it can be used for, and a limited amount of its history in Kelesis. It seems like it was a little more popular in the past (50+ years ago), but they had never been wide adopters of it, and by now it's fallen out of fashion completely.
