It's me, hi, I'm the problem, it's me... This is one of those "this isn't super important, feel free to leave for when you have time" questions.

I've trawled the FAQ for this and didn't see it specifically mentioned, but if I missed it, please let me know. Can characters with canon powers use said powers when they are in Full Shift? So, in full bird form, can Mel form her magic barriers or use her gold light whatever the hell it is, or would Full Shift be restricted to Natural Soul-abilities only? (Or is this another "do what makes you happy but don't break the game/be too OP" thing?)

Thanks, mods!
Even if there's no rush, this one is also fairly simple: yes, characters can use their canon powers while Shifted! The only time they wouldn't be able to, is if it relied on something that's no longer present in their Shift (like a limbless snake would have issues utilizing some sort of leg-based power...).

So Mel could be full bird and still use her magic, if you'd like her to!

(Of course, the other exception is if they are in Patho-Gen HQ, where they have jammers that turn up the power-restriction to Infinite. Then it doesn't matter what form they're in: none powers.)
