Hello modlies! I've got 700 AC points banked at the moment and enough threads closing in on a wrap to easily hit 800 when I get around to submitting them, so I am Asking The Burning Question: what actually is the 800 point AC reward? Or if someone actually has to submit for it for it to be Revealed, are there any terrible dire unforeseen IC consequences to submitting for it? | Apologies for the wait on this! We have someone attempting to redeem this right now as it is, so allow us to elaborate... and apologize... We hadn't anticipated this level of enthusiasm at this point (our mistake; we loved this concept, so it follows that others might enjoy it too?!), and thus hadn't expected there to be people with 800 comments so soon! So, here is the plan for this tier: the 800 tier reward is... a special soul. We'd initially intended it to be unlocked at roughly the 7~8 month period, but we also had expected characters in the game to take a bit longer to make progress toward Kelesis, which is the first waypoint to unlock this reward tier. So. We are thinking that we can have some write-ups ready for next month that review about 4 special souls. We know for certain this will include Perissodactyla (horses; tapirs, rhinos) and Marsupialia (kangaroos, koalas, opossums, etc). We apologize for not having these ready... but if you are willing to wait, we shall unveil these souls Soon. These special souls will not be available to anyone as a "starter" soul. They will perform best as a secondary soul, since the traits they have will be a lot more scant; however, we're still batting around the notion of characters being able to swap completely to one of these special souls. We don't want to make these souls immensely overpowered (nobody gets to grab a soul and suddenly obtain Main Character Status), but they will certainly have special perks and traits (as well as drawbacks). We'll address this on our next State of the Game, too! In all, you can hold onto your points until we unveil these, or you can toss 'em down if you wanna play ball. But that is what the Treat will be! |
