If this was asked previously, totally feel free to shove me in that direction. As the Augmented are beginning to enter their 3rd month of changes and clothes start to become difficult to procure or alter (unless an Augmented has that skill), would there be any tailor shops willing to do business and work with Augmented? If Mel started to frequently and gently try to establish business and rapport with a tailor in any district (though would probably start in the lower to middle class districts) to try to get some kind of help... What would she find and what would the reception be? (If she flashes a little bit of Aves plumage on her arms or with her new tail, would that help?) And as a follow up, if she started with just asking questions about cloth types, buying fabric and thread (for Pom), and just being a regular, could she start making some inroads? Or, if they wouldn't do business or only do business in a limited aspect, would anyone be open to teaching Augmented how to tailor their own clothes so they don't darken the doorstep of some poor person?	You're grand always, I don't think this has been asked anywhere either.... The lower, to lower-middle class areas would be the better places to start with, certainly- as the higher end establishments (proper tailors, rather than mere seamstresses) would refuse to service Augmented (and to please leave the grounds before someone sees you). The more modest places will take the work, either out of pragmatism (a job is a job, and if a cat wants dressed, they will dress that cat), or understanding that it helps no one to have a bunch of half-nude beasts roaming the streets, denied the chance to wear pants. They might still be fairly awkward about the whole process, as accommodating wings/tentacles/shells/vines, etc., is not something they've ever had to do before. But there would be people willing to try, with varying degrees of patience (flashing some Aves plumage always helps- take advantage of that bird privilege). Especially if Mel had already established herself as a Good Customer in other ways, interested in fabric and actually buying things.... As for teaching the Augmented how to sew their own goods, Mel would have a similar limited success. It's something a number of seamstresses have had as a side business already, as the Augmented would be far from the first to have ambitions of crafting their own garments (or at least knowing how to mend things, or do simple alterations). How to make clothes to suit unusual shapes would be a learning experience for everyone involved, but it can be done.
