Answer date: 2025-08-11

The kelesian souls, do they look anything like a soul under the influence of a compulsion or illusion or similar?

so if northly started thinking "maybe the colours are how status conditions are displayed in this world" and then checked in with different types of augmented about what powers they have that could apply status conditions and did some experiments to see how they made souls look, would she find any matches?

also do the souls of those permanently blinded on the solstice look different to the other citizens?
Kelesian souls: They appear like average souls. Those with soul sight like the Aves-types may see souls in Kelesis as particularly distorted... Extra reflections of a soul where there is nobody one moment, but the next moment it's gone. The entirety of Kelesis seems to be a bit more kaleidoscopic to soul seers! Sorry for the headache.

The souls of the blind: These souls appear average, too! What a novel approach, though, to wonder if color indicates status conditions... Were that it were so simple. For characters with soul sight, they'll find that the 'color' of someone's soul is reflective of an abstract quality of their character, more than anything.
