Hello, mods! If Dante were to go to Patho-Gen to report pain in their chest/health concerns (that are in actuality Just Spectral Things™/part of the changes leading to "death"), what sort of reaction would they get? | At the least, Patho-Gen would humor them, or even be somewhat concerned. There would be attempts at blood drawn, at pressure taken, at recording their pulse and nodding appreciably at it. There sure is something going on in there. (Though they would still be taken aback a bit by Dante's head. It's hard for the average clinician to wrap their own heads around it, and they might suggest that whatever they're going through... maybe it has something to do with that? How are they supposed to treat something when a whole important body part is nothing like they're used to?) If Dante is 'lucky', they might end up talking to someone who knows a bit more about the varieties of Augmented. If they share that they're a Spectral-type (or at least can narrow it down to not being any of the more traditional 'beastly' types), the doctor might be able to warn/console/dismiss Dante's concerns as just being one of those fun Spectral things. Death: it happens, but you'll get better. It's up to you, how much they're able to learn, or whether their doctors are useful or not. It all depends on whether you'd prefer Dante to hear from them that yeah he's probably Going To Die, Don't Worry About It, or whether it remains a Mystery. |
