Two questions: If an Aves was to sing back at the peacock figure, would it cause any reaction? Rowan has mimicry as their third power: if they sang the escape song back at her, would they have enough time to cause a reaction before they pass out? And secondly: when the captured Augmented are re-released, what's the state of any shaved fur/plucked feathers etc.? Would they be growing back at a normal speed? |
An Aves singing back to the peacock-figure would elicit a reaction. She would attempt to harmonize with them- picking up on their melody and adding to it, laced with the emotions of before, with the addition of a profound loneliness. To mimic her song precisely would be met with a brief silence- before a return of the same song, that much louder. Not just in volume, but intent. Every emotion there is compounded, given more power. If Rowan was by her cage when it happened, they would see her hold on herself tighten, trembling; all those feather eyes would fix on them. While serious wounds would be patched up/healed prior to release, forcing fur to regrow, or feathers to return would be harder for Patho-Gen to achieve (and they would be unlikely to spend the time trying). Characters are likely to come out of captivity with patches of bare skin. They will regrow lost parts at whatever their normal rate is- unless they've undergone testing that quickens their corruption (or causes it to mutate worse), in which case they might return faster. They might not grow back well, if they experience this- with the first crop of new feathers being deformed, or miscolored in some way. Or fur might grow back brittle, and be prone to tangling. These issues, if experienced, will clear up on their own, as their bodies eventually replace the growths involved. |
