Sorry if this has been answered somewhere! I tried looking through the rest of the questions and the housing page, but I might've missed it:

What do the locks on the player character rooms at the Valentia look like? Could they be picked or broken if uhhhh someone wanted to go rummaging through other people's rooms because he heard via the network that they might have something he wants and they conveniently mentioned their room number (and I would 1000% ask the players involved first if that was a thing he'd try to do, but he'd check out the locks first to see if they're even pickable, hence the question)?

This is very Not Good Boy Behavior, sorry mods

Edit: whoops, one more that I thought of that I'll tack on here! Are there any consequences to, like, a character just sitting in their room, practicing Half-/Shifting over and over again because they're kind of into it? You can't mess up the Augmenter with repeated use in quick succession or anything?

This is a good point; we will add "how Valentia room locks operate" to our list of additions, since it seems pretty handy to know.

Locks on character rooms at the Valentia are like those tap-based unlock mechanisms you find in a lot of hotels, but they're unlocked using one's Syntrofos. So there would be a few ways to bust into another character's room: 1. a tech-savvy character could feasibly find a way to replicate the signal needed to unlock the door, but it might take some tinkering and/or modifying their own Syntrofos (and all locks are unique, so nobody can have a 'master key'); 2. door can be bludgeoned down, which means that damage will be sustained to it (definitely Not Good Boy Behavior!); or 3. still damaging the door some, particularly closer to the frame near the hinges/handle, one could dismantle any bits of hardware. From the outside of the room there are no accessible screws or the like, however, so it'll definitely take some elbow grease.

Ultimately, as long as there's player consent, feel free to have your character try whatever!

And regarding consequences to Half-/Shifting in the privacy of their own room... There are no consequences on the Augmenter's end. But the more a character uses it, the more it hastens their Corruption... so it might start hurting a bit, as Corrupted traits start to linger and grow in! For example, Aves-types might start to feel their fingers/toes itch with the eruption of longer nails/talons, the pinpricks of feathers sprouting, all of those beginning signs of long-term transformation. At least he's into it, right...?
