Oh, they won't like that... there will be Complaints. But Patho-Gen might reluctantly shelter some of their own employees and their families in the building (or try and send them to any of their clinics that aren't full; filling beds intended for the sick with the rich isn't the best, but they're at least beds and some limited privacy). They have conference halls, even the ballroom that Initiation takes in... they have unused space, though they'll scramble to arrange it in terms of shelter. The more bureaucratic and public-facing government buildings could also be convinced to convert to storing the rich until they can go home. Peacock Theater would be the easiest to commandeer, and some of the more eccentric or otherwise adventurous rich people might even find it sort of fun, to 'camp out' in a theatre for a few days. (They'll still complain about the amenities.) Overall, there will still be a lot of protest coming from the upper class, who remain more concerned about when they can go home rather than the state of the pillar (surely everything will be fine??). But it's not like there's a hotel in Karteria to send these rich folks too, and most of their families and friends are also in Basileios. Those who can't slum it up in Belle Ville with more distant relatives will have to go somewhere. So in essence: y.
