Or would any samples brought back be too mutated to properly identify as potentially human anatomy? Don't wanna overstep, thank you!	Oh man... the bodies would be identifiably human (or at least, would have parts of them recognizably human amongst all the distortions and corruptions). Characters who are reasonably proficient at human biology/physiology (or who are willing/able to look things up, consult medical literature, etc.), would be able to notice human characteristics. Unsettling human characteristics on bags of mutated beasts... so yes, there should be ways to identify them as people beyond the scraps of clothing.
