Quick question about shifting and injury in shifted form: when injured in shifted form, if a character unshifts, and reshifts, do they retain the injury? Does the injury come with them from shifted form to unshifted? What if it's a small injury like, say, a curious fox wanted to pluck a feather that the character doesn't have when unshifted?

Apologies if this has been answered already!

AnswerText:
Shifted injuries do remain after unshifting and reshifting. It would be a bit too simple to heal from all wounds just by turning the Shift off and on again! As for whether the injury is also expressed on their unshifted body... it would mostly depend on whether that element still exists on their underlying form. If it doesn't (i.e., wings vs no wings), small wounds would probably not show up on a character's normal/corrupted self.

However, if they're taking particularly grievous injuries to their Shifted form, some elements of that might bleed over into their normal/corrupted self anyway. Notable damage to wings could appear on the underlying shoulders/arms; a broken tail might result in an injured back/rear area.

The injured parts don't have to be Shifted into to heal, though; the damage exists whether it's visible or not, and will heal over time regardless.
