Thank you! <br><br>And are they clear and certain that they are <em>animal</em> souls and not <em>people</em>? Northly's world has plenty of non-human people (common ones include elves, orcs, dwarves and β most relevant for this β beastfolk) and she's still a little weirded out by the lack of non-human people in Karteria, so would want to be clear on the distinction, as there are plenty of groups and individuals in her world who buy into discrimination based on type of people<div class="edittime"><em>Edited <span class="datetime"><span class="comment-date-text"> </span> <span title="09:35 pm (northling's time)">2025-06-12 09:35 pm (local)</span></span></em></div>

They would be clear about the distinction between animal (or rock, or plant) and human! If anything, they would seem mildly aghast at the idea they would use <i>people</i> as a basis for a Natural Soul. While they'll admit that many animals are clever- such as varieties of Aves capable of simple tool usage, or some Spectrals with their mimicking of human language- they've encountered nothing in the world that approaches human sentience. The Augmented themself- brought from other worlds- is their first time encountering intelligent non-humans.
